Особый интерес с точки зрения перевода представляют те случаи, когда exactly употребляется при отрицании. В этом случае частица указывает, что слово, к которому она относится, не совсем точно описывает истинное положение вещей. В этом случае указанная выше частица именно обычно не может быть употреблена в качестве эквивалента, и применяются разные другие средства русского языка, способные выполнить схожую функцию:
