( BnH)La Bibliothèque numérique pour le Handicap (BnH) est lancée en janvier 2006, comme projet d’étude et de recherche, à l’initiative de la ville de Boulogne-Billancourt (région parisienne) et sous l’égide d’Alain Patez, bibliothécaire numérique chargé de mission pour la BnH. "Projet à vocation nationale, la BnH repose sur la conviction que l’édition numérique est le moyen d’accès à l’information et à la culture le mieux adapté aux personnes en situation de handicap. L’objectif de la BnH est de permettre à toute personne confrontée à un handicap de télécharger à distance des livres numériques. Ces documents sont commercialisés dans le public, donc non libres de droit de reproduction." (Alain Patez) Les livres sont chronodégradables (durée de validité limitée dans le temps). Cette initiative, qui suscite beaucoup d’intérêt, est promise à un développement rapide. La plateforme technique est entièrement gérée par la société Numilog.
