Goods - предметы специального изготовления для продажи. Goods относится к предметам, которые могут быть передвинуты или перемещены, goods имеет только одну форму - форму множественного числа, и согласуется с формой множественного числа глагола. Merchandise - описывает предметы торговли, которые, как правило, выставляются для обозрения, merchandise - существительное неисчисляемое, имеет только форму единственного числа: Customers are requested not to touch the merchandise.
