3.2 температура сферы (sphere temperature), ST: температура, при которой образцы принимают приблизительно сферическую форму; высота образцов в виде трехгранной пирамиды или усеченного конуса становится равной ширине основания, высота образцов кубической или цилиндрической формы остается неизменной, а кромки этих образцов становятся полностью скругленными.
