1 Revolutionary War
Освободительная война 1775-83 тринадцати английских колоний [ Thirteen Colonies], в ходе которой было создано независимое государство - США. Началась боями у Лексингтона и Конкорда [ Lexington and Concord] в апреле 1775. После поражения американцев в битве при Банкер-Хилле [ Bunker Hill] второй Континентальный конгресс [ Continental Congresses] в 1775 создал объединенную Континентальную армию [ Continental Army] во главе с Дж. Вашингтоном [ Washington, George]. Война фактически закончилась 19 октября 1781 в Йорктауне [ Yorktown Campaign], шт. Вирджиния, когда восьмитысячная армия английского генерала Корнуоллиса [Cornwallis, Charles] сдалась американцам. По Версальскому мирному договору 1783 Англия признала независимость США. Война создала важные предпосылки для развития капитализма в стране, хотя на Юге сохранялось рабство негров. Война за независимость США. Началась с перестрелки у Лексингтона и Конкорда [Lexington and Concord, Battle of] в 1775 и продолжалась вплоть до сражения у Йорктауна [Yorktown, Battle of] в 1781. Главнокомандующим американскими войсками был ген. Джордж Вашингтон, вместе с ним были Этан Аллен [*Allen, Ethan], Бенедикт Арнольд [*Arnold, Benedict], вставший затем на путь предательства, Горацио Гейтс [Gates, Horatio], Джон Пол Джонс [*Jones, John Paul] и др. Английскими войсками командовали Чарлз Корнуоллис [*Cornwallis, Charles], Томас Гейдж [*Gage, Thomas], Уильям Хау [Howe, William] и др. Американцам большую помощь оказывала Франция как флотом, так и войсками, за независимость североамериканских колоний сражался французский политический деятель и профессиональный военный маркиз де Лафайет [*Lafayette].
