stall(ing)
— the airplane is considered stalled when at an angle of attack measurably greater than that for maximum lift.
- в прямолинейном полете — level wing stall
- в развороте — turning flight stall
- на крыло — wing drop, wing stall
- на нос — nose drop, tendency to nose down
-, непроизвольное (самолета) — inadvertent stalling
-, нормальное — normal stall
a stall of an airplane brought about by a nose-high attitude.
распознавать приближение к режиму сваливания — airplane drop to retracted main landing gear side stall development recognize approach to stall, recognize stall indicationsРусско-английский сборник авиационно-технических терминов > сваливание

stall
— the condition of an airfoil or airplane in which it is operating at an angle of attack greater than the angle of attack of maximum lift. it is a loss of flying speed and in many cases temporary loss of lift and control of the airplane.
- в штопор — involuntary entry into spin
-, глубокий — deep stall
- (отрыв) ламинарного потока (с переходом в турбулентный поток) — burble. separation of the laminar flow past а body, and turbulent flow resulting from this.
the action of a boundary layer separating from a surface.
а breakdown of the air flow over the compressor blades.
142) — flow separation
- при отказе критического двигателя (сваливание ла) — stall with the critical engine inoperative /failed/
