гл.Русский глагол прыгать, как и его ближайший эквивалент to jump, дают общее название действия, никак не конкретизируя его. Группа английских соответствий, сохраняя общее значение прыгать, конкретизирует это действие по способу и манере его совершения. Эти уточнения, присущие значениям английских глаголов, в русском языке выражаются, как правило, словосочетаниями.1. to jump — прыгать: to jump up and down — прыгать вверх и вниз; to jump across a puddle — прыгнуть через лужу/перепрыгнуть через лужу; to jump aside — прыгнуть в сторону/отпрыгнуть в сторону How high can you jump? — Как высоко ты можешь прыгнуть? My cat always jumps up onto the table when we do not see it. — Мой кот всегда вспрыгивает на стол, когда мы этого не видим.2. to hop — скакать, прыгать на одной ножке ( продвигаясь вперед или отталкиваясь обеими ногами): She hopped over a fallen tree. — Она перепрыгнула через упавшее дерево. My left leg hurt so much 1 could only hop. — Левая нога так болела, что я мог передвигаться, только прыгая на одной ноге. The children were bouncing up and down on the bed. — Дети прыгали на кровати.4. to vault — прыгать, перепрыгивать, перескакивать; вспрыгнуть, описав дугу ( с опорой на руку или шест): to vault into the saddle — вскочить в седло; to vault (over) a fence — перескочить через забор/перепрыгнуть через забор I saw him vaulting over the railing of the porch. — Я видел, как он перепрыгнул через поручни крыльца./Я видел, как он перемахнул через поручни крыльца. The clowns vaulted all over the arena. — Клоуны прыгали по всей арене/Клоуны кувыркались по всей арене.5. to skip — прыгать, скакать ( часто) от удовольствия, бежать вприпрыжку: Children were skipping around in the school yard. — Дети бегали вприпрыжку по школьному двору.6. to leap — прыгать в длину, перепрыгивать ( через что-либо), прыгать с разбега: From our roof it's possible to leap onto the roof next door. — С крыши нашего дома можно прыгнуть на крышу соседнего. Two circus tigers were leaping through a flaming hoop. —Два тигра в цирке прыгали сквозь горящий обруч. They took off their clothes and leaped into the water. — Они скинули одежду и (с разбега) прыгнули в воду.7. to clear — прыгнуть через что-либо, не задев; взять препятствие, преодолеть препятствие: to clear a fence (a hedge) — прыгнуть, не задев, через забор (изгородь) She nearly cleared it, it was a spectacular jump through. — Это был красивый прыжок, хотя она едва не задела планку./Это был красивый прыжок, хотя она чуть-чуть не задела планку.
