Аккордный налог
Налог, взимаемый в равной сумме со всех налогоплательщиков вне зависимости от их доходов и богатства. С одной стороны, аккордные налоги являются эффективной формой обложения, поскольку каждый человек знает, что ему в любом случае придется выплатить сумму налога. Издержки на их сбор невелики, т.к. отсутствует необходимость сложных расчетов. С другой стороны, такие налоги считаются несправедливыми с социальной точки зрения, поскольку как бедные, так и богатые платят налог по одной ставке. Одной из причин отставки М. Налог
Обязательный сбор, взимаемый государством с физических и юридических лиц. Объектом налогообложения являются доходы, имущество, отдельные товары, операции с ценными бумагами и т.д. В Ве ликобритании к налогам на доходы относятся индивидуальный подоходный налог (см. Income tax), налог на прибыль корпораций (см. Corporation tax), а также налог на реализованный прирост капитала (см. Capital gains tax). Налог на имущество называется налогом на богатство (см. Wealth tax). Налоги на потребление включают налог на добавленную стоимость (см. Value-added tax), акцизный сбор (см. Excise duty) и тарифы (см. Tariff). К налогам на собственность относятся местные налоги (см. Local tax) и единый налог на собственность компаний (см. Uniform business rate). Налоги являются основной статьей доходов госбюджета.
