31 Никто не забыт и ничто не забыто
(надпись на гранитной стене Пискарёвского мемориального кладбища в Санкт-Петербурге; слова О. Берггольц - 1960 г.) Nichts ist vergessen und niemand ist vergessen (Inschrift an der Granitmauer des Piskarjow-Friedhofs in St. Petersburg; Text von O. Berggolz). Auf dem Friedhof sind Stadtbürger begraben, die während der Blockade der Stadt (damals: Leningrad) in den Jahren 1941-1943 umgekommen sind, sowie die in den Jahren des Großen Vaterländischen Krieges gefallenen Soldaten und Offiziere der Leningrader Front, insgesamt 470 000 Menschen. Am 9. Mai 1960 wurde hier ein Ehrenmal eingeweiht, dessen Mittelpunkt die bronzene Figur der Mutter Heimat bildet. Die Inschriften für das Ehrenmal stammen von den Leningrader Dichtern M. Dudin und O. Berggolz, die die ganze Zeit der Blockade in Leningrad erlebt haben. Der Ausdruck wird zitiert, um zu betonen, dass die heutige Generation den im Großen Vaterländischen Krieg Gefallenen ein ehrenvolles Gedenken bewahrt.
