27 INCOME ELASTICITY OF DEMAND
Эластичность спроса по доходу
Влияние изменения дохода потребителя на величину спроса: Если определенное изменение дохода приводит к относительно большему изменению величины спроса, то спрос является эластичным; если данное изменение дохода вызывает относительно меньшее изменение величины спроса - спрос неэластичен. Коэффициент эластичности является положительной величиной для нормальных продуктов (см. Normal product) и отрицательной - для продуктов низкого качества (см. Inferior product). Так, например, дешевые продукты питания и одежда имеют коэффициент эластичности ниже единицы, а предметы роскоши - выше единицы. Потребители, как правило, покупают меньше дешевых товаров по мере увеличения своих доходов. См. Закономерность, которая выражается в стремлении потребителя тратить все большую долю своего дополнительного дохода на предметы роскоши и все меньшую - на товары массового спроса. Иными словами, по мере роста доходов доля совокупных расходов на предметы первой необходимости снижается. См.
