Perfect continuous infinitive употребляется после глаголов seem - казаться, appear - выглядеть, happen - случаться, pretend - делать вид, а также с глаголами believe - верить, know - знать, report - сообщать, say - говорить, understand - понимать в страдательном залоге. Perfect continuous infinitive обозначает при этом длительное действие, начавшееся раньше действия, выраженного глаголом в личной форме или прилагательным, к которому относится инфинитив.
