Генерация, поколение1. Рождение, воспроизведение, производство.2. Потомство одного поколения в группе или в популяции особей, характеризующееся одинаковой степенью родства к их общим предкам. Разные организмы дают множество (простейшие), несколько (насекомые, мыши, кролики) или одну генерацию (многие копытные, хищники) в год или в несколько лет (киты, слоны).3. Все потомство предыдущего поколения; группа особей, одновременно развивающихся в течение сезона (см. Вольтинность).4. Синоним длительности существования одного поколения — период жизни от начала развития особей до их половозрелого состояния.1. В популяции — группа особей, имеющих одинаковую степень родства по отношению к общим предкам, а также группа особей, одновременно развивающихся в течение сезона, — в этом смысле чаще употребляют термин «генерация». Возраст особей в П. у различных организмов колеблется в очень широких пределах, в среднем отражая репродуктивный возраст вида в конкретных условиях существования.2. Любое поколение, следующее за родительским, которое обозначается F1, F2, F3 и т. д.3. При наличии чередования поколений (см.
