14 Warhol, Andy
1928-1982Andrew Warhola, nacido en Pittsburgh, hijo de inmigrantes eslovacos, se gradua en 1949 y, poco despues, lo encontramos ya en Nueva York como ilustrador de revistas. En 1960 crea un canal privado de television, WarholTV. En 1962 empieza con su serie de dibujos mas popular, la de Campbell, y en 1963 rueda su primera pelicula, muy personal, como todo lo suyo. Manager musical, en 1968 sufre un atentado del que logra recuperarse. Asociado de alguna forma al cine-basura que personifica Paul Morrisey, es responsable de unos 70 titulos, de los que quince son cortometrajes. El inefable Andy Warhol tambien contribuyo a la historia del western, de manera minima, eso si; un unico filme, con guion del citado Morrisey, que en sus origenes era una variante de la historia de Romeo y Julieta, en este caso Ramona y Julian. La pelicula es muy poca cosa.Lonesome Cowboys. 1969. 110 minutos. Color. Factory Films. Julian Burroughs, Joe Dallesandro, Eric Emerson, Viva, Taylor Mead, Louis Waldon.
