Дерегулирование
Отказ от государственного вмешательства в экономическую деятельность. Государство приостанавливает свои мероприятия по регулированию, если отпадает такая необходимость (например, прекращает воздействовать на цены в целях борьбы с инфляцией) или если политика регулирования оказывается чрезмерно жесткой и мешает компаниям воспользоваться всеми возможностями бизнеса (например, отменяет валютные ограничения для привлечения внешних инвестиций, что было предпринято в Великобритании в 1979 г.). В последние годы дерегулирование приобрело особое значение в контексте инициатив правительства Великобритании по стимулированию конкуренции, что позволило частным компаниям активно включиться в конкуренцию в тех регионах, где раньше действовали государственные или муниципальные компании (см. Competitive tender). С другой стороны, государственные инициативы способствовали усилению регулирования деятельности приватизированных отраслей для обеспечения защиты интересов потребителей.Новый англо-русский словарь-справочник. Многие экономисты и политики уверены, что на протяжении нынешнего столетия правительства устанавливали над рынками контроль, для которого с точки зрения экономической теории не было оснований или основания были несущественными.
