Централизованная и компьютеризованная система урегулирования взаимных расчетов между членами палаты. В Великобритании наиболее известна Ассоциация систем клиринговых платежей (Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS)); позволяет банкам-членам системы взаиморассчитываться друг с другом по чекам и платежным распоряжениям, оплаченным не теми банками, на которые они были выписаны. Аналогичная система расчетов существует и на некоторых товарных биржах: продажи и покупки регистрируются клиринговой палатой, а расчет производится в конце отчетного периода.
