Andecha, para empezar diré, que cualquier cuadrilla es sin lugar a dudas una andecha. En la Enciclopedia Asturiana, obra plagada de fatales e imperdonables equivocaciones, en lo que se refiere, digo yo, porque es lo mío, a la Llingüa y demás costumbres ancestrales de mi Tierrina. Estos intrusos infantilizados y ridículos, hambrientos de las resonancias y del pretender aparentar, «lográndolo», por el apoyo de otros intrusos que ya lograron alcanzar los puestos de más relevante poder, que yo no dudo que sean personas inteligentísimas en otras materias, que no sean los fidalgos ancestros de mi querida Asturias, porque yo entiendo, que para estar documentado en una cosa (sea cual fuere), sin lugar a dudas antes hay que íntimamente vivirla. (Ya nun conel banduétchu abazcuchandu de fartu, les manes ñidies. apaxiétchau con bunus fatus y'adeprendiendu les lletres en bunus collexus. (Y no con el estómago rebosante de harto, las manos finas, vistiendo traje de buenas ropas, y aprendiendo las letras en buenos colegios). ¡No... hay que vivirlas al desnudo, con sus sufrimientos y trabajos, con todo cuanto emana de los seres simples, sencillos y naturales, que derramando sudores sobre la Má Ñatura, viven para Ella, y a cuenta de Ella hasta que se mueren. Digo que en la Enciclopedia Asturiana, esos intrusos profesores de la «troya», dicen que l'andecha es una ayuda que se presta gratuitamente, y yo en este humilde libro, les digo rotunda y llanamente que «mienten más que se forian, si es que por no foriáxe no comen. La definición exacta de l'andecha es esta que yo les relato a ustedes muy simple y naturalmente.————————conjunto o cuadrilla de personas que van a una misma faena. Ejemplo: Los niños van en andecha a la escuela. Los mozos con las mozas van en andecha a la fiesta, etc., etc. Yo he ido a muchas andechas, y en todas ellas he cobrado mi sueldo, y mi madre que desde siempre fue la más pobre de mis aldeas, porque no teníamos ni una cuarta de tierra que fuese nuestra, sallú arrendiú ya coyu pan en andecha por el miserable sueldo de seis reales que se pagaban entonces, en casi todas las tierras de cuatro concejos. Han escrito muchos intrusos de la andecha fatáus de couxes (muchas cosas), y casi todas ellas sin el menor fundamento, lo que me demuestra que existen en mi Tierrina muchos «enteráus de Cartama» que hacen su andecha tan gratuitamente como ellos la pintan. Pero quienes conozcan las costumbres asturianas, quienes las vivieran dentro de duros trabajos, privaciones, sufrimientos y también sanas y simples alegrías, comprenderán lo mismo que yo entiendo. Que pa faluchar de fame (que para hablar de hambre), creo que antes uno tuvo que haberla pasado, no sirve copiar por lo que de ella dice el vecino, que a lo mejor también te está equivocando. L'andecha no es un trabajo gratuito, yo he trabajado en muchas andechas, tanto segando la hierba, comu coyendu 'l pan (recogiendo las espigas), axin comu faer borronáes (así como hacer de un prado o zarzal tierra labrantía), comu 'pelucar nus carrapiétchus nus ablanus (arrancar de los avellanos sus frutos), en fin, todas las faenas del campo, que por regla general se hacían en andechas y se pagaba un sueldo por tal trabajo. No hay que confundir la andecha con la gavita (ayuda). Porque la «Gavita», sí que en verdad es un trabajo que se hace con ayuda desinteresada en principio, pero que ha de ser pagada en igual o parecida forma, a no ser que a quienes se les brinde esta ayuda, se encuentren incapacitados para devolver la «Gavita». Antes, más de la mitad de las gentes de mis aldeas, como sus labranzas eran pequeñas y a veces hasta muy pobres, tenían que andar a xornalinus (jornales), para aquellos que pudiesen pagarles, bien fuese en dineros o en frutos de la tierra, así por ejemplo, cuando había que segar un prado grande, pues su dueño llamaba a diez o doce segadores, a los cuales les pagaban el sueldo que rigiere, y en andecha segaban el prado. Así pues, creo que queda suficientemente aclarado que las andechas no son gratuitas, y que las gavitas son empréstamos, o pagaduras de favor, porque en las aldeas, por lo menos en mis tiempos, era tan sumamente dura la existencia que no había gratis nada más que el agua. —Nun gulgu más a l'andecha / de la teixá d'Anxelón, / pos más que paga bon xueldu / 'n fame ruculu you. (No vuelvo más a la andecha / de la casa de Angelón, / pues aunque paga buen sueldo, / en hambres gástolo yo). Cundu se chamaben xentes a xornal, non yera casu de dayes mal de comer, (dixu nagua), pos había qu’atreinar un bon pote de lu mexor que s’atopara per la teixá, ya fartucar a lus que trabayaben comu yera debíu, perque naide diba de bona gana a trabayar p'un amu famión, más qu’apurriera 'n bon xornal. (Cuando se llamaban a las gentes para trabajar, no era el caso de darles mala comida y escasa, (de eso nada), había que hacer un buen puchero, con las mejores viandas que hubiese en casa, para que se hartasen las gentes como era debido. Porque nadie iba de buena gana a trabajar, para un amo que no diese bien de comer aunque pagase un buen sueldo. TRADUCCIÓN.—En las noches de las primaveras y de los veranos, el culebrón hace unos cánticos, que yo y todos cuantos nos hemos criado en las aldeas hemos oído muchísimas veces, entonces las culebras que están en el celo, cuando sienten tal cántico, se van acercando silenciosamente hasta el lugar donde se encuentra el Culebrón, y cuando están en tal sitio, si son más de media docena, se pelean entre sí con enloquecida fiereza, porque por el instinto de vida ellas saben, que el culebrón no podrá hacer el amor nada más que de seis para abajo, una vez que ya han quedado las seis culebras que se ganaron el puesto de apadrentarse con el culebrón, éstas tendrán que trabajar para él, quiero decir, que le tienen que alimentar, mientras que buscan un lugar para apadrentarse, que este tiempo nunca suele ser mas largo de dos o tres días. Luego las culebras dirigen al culebrón hasta la yacija que antes hubiesen elegido, y en tal lugar, nada más que el sol estuviese en el sitio de más calentamiento, se enroscaban todas las culebras al culebrón, haciendo un trenzamiento que se movía sobre sí mismo revolcándose entre las babas y segregaciones pegajosas de sus cuerpos, y todo este verdoso espumaraje de babas y demás segregaciones, se escapaba de sus cuerpos por un pequeño agujero que para tal acaecer dejaban sin cerrar en el fuerte trenzado que hacían, así era que estas babas y demás pastosos y brillantes líquidos, al caer al suelo por debajo de las culebras entre el polvo y el arenisco, en el mismo suceder que las culebras con grande frenesí se enroscaban apretándose con desmedida fuerza haciéndose el amor, por así nombrarlo, siempre en el mismo lugar, y cuando ya habían satisfecho su apetencia, se marchaban de aquel trenzamiento donde se habían apadrentado, cada una de ellas para el lugar que mejor le conviniese. Esta piedrecita misteriosa se le llamaba la "Cuéllebre", el verdadero, o mejor dicho uno de los verdaderos dioses mitológicos de mi amada Asturias, no como ese otro cuéllebre que inventó no se quién, que como tantos otros que se dedicaron y se dedican a lo mismo, que están haciendo de las Costumbres y de todo el Ancestro Cultural de mi Dulce y Embrujadora Tierrina, desde hace ya muchos años, todo un trenzamiento de mal hechas mentiras y equívocos de niños subnormales, que sólo han logrado que nuestra hermosa Cultural no medre, para alcanzar el lugar prominente que por historia y valía le corresponde. —Yo he visto el Cuéllebre una vez en las manos de un afamado curandero, que era un hombre muy pequeño y viejo, alegre y muy hablador, muy amigo de la Bruja Genoveva y de mi amo Rosendo.
