USAGE and CHOICE OF WORDS:
(1.) Moreover чаще используется в официальной, деловой речи. Более нейтральными словами, используемыми для введения дополнительных причин и обоснований сказанного, являются also 2. и besides. Also 2. в этой функции может стоять в начале предложения или перед смысловым глаголом: you can stay at our house, also, I can check the plane times for you, или I can also check the plane times for you вы можете остановиться у нас; более того/к тому же я могу проверить для вас расписание самолетов. Наиболее нейтральным словом является besides: June is not a good month to go there; besides, I want to finish my exams first июнь не самый хороший месяц для поездки туда, кроме того/и к тому же я хочу сначала сдать экзамены. Это же значение присоединения, обоснования справедливости первого утверждения может быть выражено союзом and в соединении с одним из вышеуказанных слов - and besides/also/moreover: you should switch to a healthier diet and moreover/also/besides that give up smoking тебе надо перейти на более здоровую диету и, кроме того, перестать курить.
